I use Google Analytics only if you choose to allow analytics. I use it to understand aggregate site usage and improve this site. You can decline analytics and still use the site.

I configure Google Analytics without advertising personalisation signals. I am not trying to build a profile of individual visitors. I want simple site usage data, such as which pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.

Your analytics choice is saved in your browser using local storage. You can change it from the analytics preferences link in the footer.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may use analytics cookies or similar identifiers to measure site activity. I do not load the Google Analytics script before you allow analytics.

Google may process analytics data as described in Google Analytics data safeguards and the Google privacy policy.
